Born and raised in the Lonestar State, Abbey attended the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Advertising (Hook ‘em!). Her studies focused on consumer behavior and digital technologies, with a side of Italian and global business relations.
She kicked off her professional career with a transfer to the Big Apple in 2013 to work in global new business and sustainability for Young & Rubicam. Here, she developed an interest in Generation World, a rising global vanguard of socially conscious consumers.
In the summer of 2015, she joined BAVC as Chief of Staff to John Gerzema. Her role includes marketing the BAVC brand, finding new and strategic applications of brand and consumer data, and contributing to new business pitches. Working at the intersection of social trends and brand data, Abbey is able to cultivate her interests in the today’s ever-evolving marketplace, the rise of the digital consumer and purpose-driven marketing at BAV.
Outside of work, Abbey enjoys cooking and exploring the city, both of which fuel her unhealthy addiction to Italian food. She’s game to watch any documentary on Netflix, whether it be about rising youth golfers or the behind-the-scenes lives of sommeliers. Other hobbies include travel, spinning and reading.
